Pre-race routine:

breakfast, coffee and short drive into anchorage. Found Natalie and hung out til race start.
Event warmup:

Tried to stay dry, by huddling under the buildings.

Comments:

Great run - felt really good the entire time! PR'd by about a minute!
What would you do differently?:

nothing - this was a "c" race and I had one of my largest volume weeks prior to this race. Couldn't be happier
Post race
Warm down:

walked around, had some water and pretzels. Found the grilled cheese line! Then waited for about 1 1/2 hours for my friend to get through. Did go to the Nordstrom's bathroom and change and rinse my face!!!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

tired legs from marathon training?

Event comments:

Great race - organizers did a wonderful job. All of the musical venues (bagpipes, polka, taiko drums, etc...) spread out through the course were awesome and well appreciated! I will do this race again!

Performance: Good
fastest laps were mile 2, 11 and 12! Negative split the race by a few seconds! HR stayed in the 150s til the last few miles when I realized I could get a PR. Avg. HR 156
Course: Great course and the race organizers did a good job routing everyone through. Rained the entire time, but it was mostly light and didn't detract from the race.
