Pre-race routine:

Got to the course early but parking wasn't awesome. Had to park a fair distance away and jog back and forth to the car. Didn't leave me as much time as I would have liked to settle myself before the swim.

Swim went absolutely amazing. I felt great during the whole thing and felt like I could have kept going. Navigation went extremely well too. I lost a few minutes here and there because people kept cutting me off and swimming in front of me at weird angles. I was able to pass quite a few people.

Very much took my time on this one. Rested a bit as well. I wasn't at all worried about getting a good T1 time.

The first lap felt really pretty great. Averaged about 18-19 mph and didn't feel like I was working too hard. On the way back on the second lap I ran in to a headwind that just never seemed to improve. This really sapped the strength from my legs to the point they were starting to burn a bit at the end. I was passed by many, many people. I sort of thought I'd do better here.
What would you do differently?:

More training. First part went well, second half not as well

Took my time again. Didn't have a shirt to wear for both the bike and run so had to change of my number. Safety pins got caught and became an issue, slowing me down.

Wear one shirt for bike and run. Get race number belt.

Felt horrible, every step for the entire 13 miles sucked. Seriously contemplated stopping numerous times, wished I had done the Oly, etc.

Super flat course so great for a PR. I finished in 7 hrs 40 minutes and just about everything was wrapped up at the finish line. In other words, no post race activities. Also, they shut some of the drink stations down on the run as we were heading back. They were really needed. I should have carried something with me if I had known that.
Going into the race I honestly wasn't certain that I would be able to finish as it was really far too early in my training. I'm very happy that I did finish and well before the cut-off. If this were a hilly course I don't know how it would have turned out. I'm very happy that I finished but I don't think I'd come back to this one.
