Pre-race routine:

Lots of Nerves as this was my first race ever, My goal was to finish the race in one peice.
I at a breakfast and since we were starting at 12:50 i ate a sandwhich at 10:30. I dont think i should have done that since i was feeling kinda icky on the bike run.
Event warmup:

lots of watching and jitters followed by a bit of swimming.

I learnt that i need to breath on the other side to get a good look at the markers, being a lefty i was always looking on the wrong side.

I did alot of breast stroke to help my navigation
What would you do differently?:

I wouls not start at the back. I was held up by not being able to easily pass people on the swim.

Ok to be honest i totaly dorked up my stopwatch. I really have no clue what my times were but they were ok i guess.
What would you do differently?:

Pratice more and get a better feel for getting into my shooes

I rode this at one of my fastest paces. I felt pretty good on the bike and an looking forward to getting better times next year.
What would you do differently?:

I would reset my bike computer. I put it on and walked the bike down to the transition area. Of course now my average pace and time is all off. Of well live and learn.

It was HOT. damn HOT.
Im not used to the heat anymore, Oh well i drank alot of water and walked to much of this course.
What would you do differently?:

I knew this part of the tri would be my worst. I am looking forward to doing more run training this winter

My 2 months of training to date.

Event comments:

This was my first tri ever and my goal was to cross the finish line standing. I am really glad i did it and now i have a benchmark for next year.

I am looking forward to doing more races next year and spending more time on my bike.
