Swim
  • 15m 30s
  • 750 meters
  • 02m 04s / 100 meters
Comments:

very very pleased with swim as never swum in 50m pool before nad didn't have clue how to pace it so went out steady and started to up swim pace in 2nd half of swim when i was in middle lane, went past people well and didn't really sit behind any one, i made sure when i had to overtake that i did it very quick then settled back to my pace, was very pleased with swim
What would you do differently?:

could have put quicker swim time as could of chased more as it was i started very early in swim and had lots of slower swimmers to go through
Transition 1
  • 01m 5s
Comments:

long run from transition to bike mount, also got something stuck in shoe when putting it on, good mount and both shoes clipped in very easily and was up to speed very very quickly for firts hill
What would you do differently?:

still keep practising mounting with shoes on bike
Bike
  • 35m 6s
  • 12 miles
  • 20.51 mile/hr
Comments:

excellent loved it a course with lots of uphill and no scary down hill cornering just right for me
What would you do differently?:

must drink on bike i didnt drink any of the water on the bike leg at all, when i put tri bars on i'll get bottle that sits inbetween so it is right there and don't need to reach down for it
Transition 2
  • 01m 10s
Comments:

felt good in transition as was long run from dismount line downhill to transition got legs working well, carried speed well of dismount as did leg over feet ontop of shoes
What would you do differently?:

nothing i don't think
Run
  • 18m 58s
  • 3 miles
  • 06m 19s  min/mile
Comments:

didn't try and drink just got staright into run, there was one person out on run already when i satrted and it took me little over 3 minutes to pass her on her and mine 1st lap, so was pleased each time i went around lap i found people to pick off and was 1st person over finish line!
What would you do differently?:

didn't drimnk at all through race and was thirsty on run split but dumped water over head as didn't want to slow pace down at all, most take on fluid on bike leg
Post race
Warm down:

lot sof electrolytes on finish line dumped water over head then jsut drank water, di 100m in pool to cool down breast stroke and strecth in shower

What limited your ability to perform faster:

me! jsut stayed in comfort zone again! why don't i push out of it, especially on run? i'm a bloody runner so why not nail myself on run? it has perked me up for minehead next week though! bring it on

Event comments:

loved it can see why myrtle wanted to go back and do it looking forward to next year
