Bike
Comments: This was the last of the series so I really wanted to push the legs and set my best time for the year, if not PR. I took off well and just started hammering up the hill. I felt like it was do-ably hard, like I was working but could maintain that pace. I saw DS2 right after the turn around so I figured he was going to pass me this time. As each person passed I looked for him, but no. I guess he decided to let me pace him up the hill again. On the hill I was using Jensie's Shut Up Legs. I really wanted to push it. Once the hill flattened out a bit I kept the pressure over the top and all the way down. I was really happy with this run. It turned out to be my best of the year I had 35:14, 37:07 and 34:34 What would you do differently?: Keep working on bike fitness Post race
Warm down: As I stopped I turned around to get a picture of DS2 in his new kit. Just as I did so he waved to me from the passenger seat of a passing Sheriffs Deputy's car. Unfortunately he'd flatted right after the turn-around and had to DNF :( We walked over to the table where they usually have drinks and nutrition. This time they also had a used cycle clothing give away. DS2 scored a couple jerseys and I grabbed a long sleeve jersey. What limited your ability to perform faster: Bike fitness, maybe the group ride on Saturday where I tried to regain one of my QOMs Event comments: I've explained before that this is a low-key race. Just show up and ride your TT. Not good or bad, just the way it is. Last updated: 2014-08-11 12:00 AM
