Swim
What would you do differently?: Nothing. Transition 1
What would you do differently?: Nothing. Bike
Comments: Cold as hell - hands were useless in T2 which slowed time (getting helmet off, changing shoes, fiddling with garmin) What would you do differently?: Wear gloves Put "hot" insoles into bike shoes Maybe could have gone a little harder? Transition 2
Run
Comments: Felt a little breathless at times, kept stride short and cadence high to protect knee/pes anserinus/hamstring What would you do differently?: Go slower earlier to catch breath and then push it harder afterwards? Definitely felt like I could have gone harder Post race
Warm down: Try to get warm - towels and coffee What limited your ability to perform faster: Caution with knee - still some hamstring soreness this week and strained pes anserinus Held back pushing off wall during swim, held back on run Cold hands in T2 Event comments: Good first race of the season - swim and run distance were perfect for where I'm at fitness-wise. Normally bike would have felt awkwardly short, but it was so damn cold I couldn't wait to get it over with. Nice low-key local tri and great for this time of year Last updated: 2015-05-31 12:00 AM
