Woke up early, drank a glass of water and coffee and ate a clif bar around 6:30.

Ran a slow easy pace to the race, about 1.5 miles from the house.

Comments:

Ran with Mark. He did a great job of pushing me just enough. I pretty much felt like I gave what I had to give. He took off toward the top of the last hill and just didn't have it in me to keep up.

Not be sick for the week or two prior to the race. Otherwise, nothing

Ran 1.5 miles home, easy pace

Event comments:

This was a no frills local neighborhood race. Great venue and close enough to home to run to and from for a total of about 5 miles. I'm quite pleased with 5th place out 38 in my age group. Probably the best AG place I've had.
