Comments: Racked bike next to pile of cut dried grass in T area...not a great idea, like glue when wet. Ran maybe 100 yds in socks, put shoes on at mount point. Much better than running that dist. in bike shoes Bike

Comments: Grass again. Used Yankz last year. maybe try again? Run
Comments: Left lower calf cramped-up mile into run. Never happened before. Uneven grass trail? Stopped and tried to stretch it, walked a bit then slow jog. Finally able to speed up again at end. Still aches a bit. Despite the cramp ran faster than last year. Really worked on running this off season and it seems to have helped. Post race
Warm down: Hung out with Wife and Kids (Thanks for coming to cheer!) Hung out in car waiting to get out of the parking lot. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training schedule. I think I'm peaking with the amount of time I can train. Event comments: Ultrafit races are generaly late getting started so need to plan warm-up for it. Harsh bump coming back over the highway at end of bike. Big accident there this year. Lots of new Triathloners in this race, good race for that. Wish organizers would stress bike safety more for those not used to bike racing. (Stay right!!!
