Run
  • 1h 49m 57s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 08m 23s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt awful, but I didn't prepare for the race. Despite lack of training, time is okay for me.
What would you do differently?:

Train more consistently.
Post race
Warm down:

15 minutes of walking and stretching.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Some odd sensations in my left lower leg. Really didn't have good strength endurance in legs for run. Just slacked off my long runs after norovirus ruined my marathon and winter weather left my skin in really bad condition from wind exposure

Event comments:

Second year in a row for this race and I think the course is just unassumingly difficult. There are some obvious hills to climb at mile 2-3 and 12, but the low grade downhills seem to be what wear out the legs, but contribute to fast splits mid course. Both years the last 5k seems very tough into the wind and then up that last hill.
