Swim
Comments: Although I feel like I can swim forever in a pool, ows is still my weak link. Maybe it's the wetsuit, maybe the cold murky water or maybe the crowding. I WILL do an ows with a wetsuit at least once a week this summer. What would you do differently?: MORE OWS! Transition 1
Comments: Wetsuit had me for at least 3 of those minutes. I don't know if my hands were just cold and numb or what. I must have looked like I had a snake in my straightjacket. What would you do differently?: More lube?? Bike
Comments: Bike was great and I beat last year's time by 8 minutes!! What would you do differently?: Maybe push just a little harder up the hills. Transition 2
Comments: Figures my wetsuit was in my way again. Run
Comments: I need bricks, bricks and more bricks. Just couldn't get up to speed. Post race
Event comments: I beat last year's time by almost 20 minutes. I still have lots of room to improve. If I can knock 5 minutes off the swim, 2 minutes off transition, 3 minutes off the bike and 5 minutes off the run I would get to the top third. I love this race (10am start)...Wait till next year. Slept in. 10am start is the best. Got to lake around 8:30. Set up my stuff and checked out all the bike bling for awhile. Got wetsuit on @ 9:45.
Lake temp was 56 so got in, swam a little, got out. Repeat. Did this until my wave started. Last race of 06 my wetsuit zipper broke. I thought I had fixed it until I asked someone to help me with it and they couldn't zip it up. At least 6 people asked me if I wanted it zipped.
