Pre-race routine:

Got up very early for oatmeal. Stretched a little while waiting for the shuttle to the start line.
Event warmup:

Mingled and chit chatted with other racers. Not a big fan of the event warmup.

I felt like my nutrition plan worked for me really well. I had to modify on the fly since I slowed down and didn't require the same amount of nutrition.
What would you do differently?:

Train more. :)
Post race
Warm down:

walked around the finish area. Chatted with DragTheLake and his wife and their friend then headed back to Seattle for dinner with David's brother.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My gimpy knee.

Event comments:

It's a beautiful island and I really enjoyed the scenery. I think I might do the full next year.

HR was solid zone 4 with a few peaks into zone 5 until mile 5 when the knee started calling the shots.
Course: Rolling hills. Very nice. There were a few cry-for-your-mama hills but overall, a great course.
