Swim
  • 1h 24m 9s
  • 4224 yards
  • 01m 59s / 100 yards
Comments:

I hyperventilated for the first 5 minutes. didn't think I was going to be able to finish. I freaked out about 2209 other people swimming all around me (I have always had problems when swimming surrounded by other people, and IM is the epitome of that situation). I tried to get out of the swarm of people but i was in the middle and there were about 30m of people to the right and left of me so I couldn't get out of the madness. I breast-stroked it for a while and finally my HR came down to a reasonable place after about 10 minutes.
What would you do differently?:

Practice swimming with people right next to me!!! maybe take the outside edge if I am not prepared next time.
Transition 1
  • 14m 55s
Comments:

but obvioulsy I didn't race the transitions. I was just trying to recover my HR since I wasn't in amazing shape for this race in the first place. I chilled in the transitions.
What would you do differently?:

Next IM I will have a tri suit so I don't have to change in each transition.
Bike
  • 8h 07m 2s
  • 112 miles
  • 13.80 mile/hr
Comments:

just look at my time...horrible...haha. Whatever. Atleast next time I will definitely do better. Got off the bike to eat my sandwiches...
What would you do differently?:

train harder...haha.
Transition 2
  • 10m 26s
Comments:

just thankful to have survived
Run
  • 5h 52m 24s
  • 26.2 miles
  • 13m 27s  min/mile
Comments:

half run, half walk. bad knees, didn't train enough for running, so just wanted to get through and not be injured for the next 2 months.
What would you do differently?:

train better!!!
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

lack of training
