Swim
  • 31m
  • 1640 yards
  • 01m 53s / 100 yards
Comments:

This swim felt really good. I was real nervous at first, but once I got in the groove I started felling good. This is the first time that I have been able to get away from the group and get in my rhythem. The only thing that kept happening to me was that I would drift off to the right but I usually caught myself before I got off track to far.
What would you do differently?:

Learn to navigate better.
Transition 1
  • 03m 36s
Comments:

This transition felt pretty good but I feel like I need to start picking up the pace some.
What would you do differently?:

Practice
Bike
  • 1h 38m 1s
  • 25.6 miles
  • 15.67 mile/hr
Comments:

I felt like I was riding hard, but I know that I could have gone harder. The only thing was that I was nervous not to conserve for the run.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing for not knowing what I was getting in to I felt I kept a pretty good pace.
Transition 2
  • 03m 16s
Comments:

Same thing as the first transition I feel that I should start trying to make these faster.
What would you do differently?:

Practice
Run
  • 1h 09m 59s
  • 6.1 miles
  • 11m 28s  min/mile
Comments:

I was the most nervous about finishing this part of the race, because I had never ran this distance yet. At the first it was kind of rough, but it didn't take me long to feel better. I will admit that for the most part I was jsut concentrating on getting from one rest station to the next. The last three miles I was able to run with another guy named Kyle, and that really made the last miles go by quickly.
What would you do differently?:

Run more miles!
Post race
Warm down:

Drank some water and walked around.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Just need to put in more time.

Event comments:

This was a great race for me to try out for my first olympic distance. I was so happy to be able to finish when I really didn't think I would be anywhere ready for this after my surgery. Considering this is in the middle of my 20 week program I really feel like I will be good to go come August for my "A" race.
