Waited and waited; ate chicken/veggies with Terri.
Event warmup:

Put on cap and goggles and swam in the yucky water for about 5 minutes.

Whew that water was nasty! Everyone coming out had this black gunk on them from the bottom. Think slimy chocolate pudding. Went way wide around the second bouy which probably cost me.
What would you do differently?:

Train more for endurance; I was spent!

Warm down:

Terri, Tom and Kyle met me at the end and ran me in; had the most delicious gatorade ever, walked around, showered off all the race gunk.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Um...lack of training? Started training for a tri on June 16th; just got bike around June 20th.

Event comments:

A really good race for my first Tri; small and not intimidating.
