Pre-race routine:

Did not warm up. Arrived late and had to rush around. Was on Aunt Flo. Very crampy, didn't get much sleep.

Comments:

I was stronger then most of the other swimmers. I just need alot more practice in OW swimming, especially in waters that are calm with less bouyancy then the ocean.

Umm...I came in 144th in this T. It was a long...1/2 mile hike uphill and through the woods and I was barefoot. I think a little practice on the transitions would have done me alot of good.

practice transitioning from swim to bike.

I need professional training on the bike so I understand how to efficiently use my energy with the gears. I also think I need to join a cycling club so I can get some outdoor, team experience.

Compared to my Athena peers I did decent, but compared to everyone else my run needs alot of work.

I'd train mostly outdoors instead of indoor training only.

Warm down:

Very little. I walked around for a few minutes but was feeling pretty nauseous

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of sleep, cramps, lack of warm up....

Event comments:

It's my only race so far so there's not anything to compare it to. But...i had alot of fun and I'd do it all over again in a NY minute.

HORRIBLE. I felt like crap, I was wheezing like crazy and everyone was passing me. i don't know what was so different about this course then VA Beach, but I just felt lost. I was very slow but pushing myself to the max. HR was up around 160 the whole time. I think the gear usage is wrong

Course: I didn't feel like I was moving this slowly. This is just going to require more training to get my time down. I think I ran pretty efficiently and managed to stay running the whole time.
