Swim
  • 14m 3s
  • 547 yards
  • 02m 34s / 100 yards
Comments:

Need to RELAX in water! Should have been an easy swim. Felt panicked, slow, clumsy, breathing short.
What would you do differently?:

RELAX!!!!! Focus on technique. Better sighting to I don't have to breast stroke. Relax breathing.
Transition 1
  • 09m 22s
Comments:

Shoes on before mounting bike..slowed transition. Need to spend less time relaxing in T1. Felt off/sick. Tried to calm nerves/ heart rate. Had part of hammer gel/ water. Problems with wet feet, trying to get cycling socks on. Fumbled. Slow.
What would you do differently?:

Cycle without socks. Practice shoes on bike/enty on ride. Run with bike.
Bike
  • 36m 9s
  • 10 miles
  • 16.60 mile/hr
Comments:

Poor gear changing issues. Think bike needs tune-up, too. Pushed too hard on down hill and straights. Wimped out on hills.
What would you do differently?:

Work on steady cadence. Work on keeping cadence in harder gears. Remember to drink more! Practice gear changes.
Transition 2
  • 02m 35s
Comments:

Felt winded from bike. Serious cramp on right foot instep. Babied R-knee.
Took shoes off before transition area so I could run better. Cleats are a problem.
What would you do differently?:

No socks for this short distance? Practice getting out of shoes prior to dismount line.
Run
  • 27m 23s
  • 2 miles
  • 13m 41s  min/mile
Comments:

Didn't push hard enough. Babied knee. Felt frustrated. Not fun. bad cramp in R-instep the whole way! Shoes too tight???
What would you do differently?:

Relax! Have fun. Push harder.
Post race
Warm down:

Gatorade, little stretching, tried to work out foot cramp. Talked to friends.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Felt dehydrated/ woozy. Didn't push hard enough. Didn't practice transitions. Babied knee so I could train afterwards. Foot cramp! Need to get my head in the game.

Event comments:
