Comments: My training for this race consisted mostly of 9-10 mile runs with minimal elevation change. So this distance was a bit out of my range, and I didn't train properly for the hills -- especially the last climb which destroyed my race time. What would you do differently?: Train more hill work and increase my base. Maybe trail shoes. Post race

Stretch during the pre-race talk. Since the race was long I figured I'd warm up the first few miles.
