Pre-race routine:

Coffee, cereal, and about an hour of Starcraft before I left the house.
Event warmup:

Jogged about 1/4 mile and then stretched really good.

Went out a little fast, but that's ok. I still PR'd by 40 seconds!
What would you do differently?:

Reign it in for the first 1/4 mile.

Warm down:

Grabbed some Gatorade and stretched really good.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Started too fast, and not enough mileage due to injury.

Event comments:

I knew I would PR today, but I just wasn't sure by how much. I felt good through the first 2 miles, but had to dig deep for the last part. Having a downhill run to the finish line always helps!
