Run
Comments: Little up hill to begin. Told Mike good luck and get going. I felt all right. The temp was about 10-15 degrees. Still getting use to the cold weather breathing. 8:50 for the first mile, OK I'll take it. I was just out to enjoy the race and finish. Passed Ed from Canandaigua going back, Unicorn Baby, Baby. Mike went by and was looking good. Hit the turn and headed back. I thought then I could do this kept plugging along. There is long down hill at the end. Tried to put a little more into it and found I could. Finished feeling good. Didn't need Mike to hold me up. What would you do differently?: Need to get a few pieces of tech gear to keep dryer during races. Post race
Warm down: Stretched and walked with Mike back to Lodge to gets some eats. What limited your ability to perform faster: Some screwed up in my calf and extra weight. Not wgt 207 pounds Event comments: This a two plus month journey Mike and I have started. We race every other weekend for till the end of February. Should be an interesting. Even with a bum calf I feel it was good start. I'll need to ultrasound the snot out of it for the next week and rest some. Mike told if it wasn't me he won't be there. Ditto buddy, ditto. That's what BT is all about. Last updated: 2007-12-14 12:00 AM

Race started at 10:00am. How nice I could sleep till 7:45am. Got up had some toast and coffee. Checked temp. Yep still 6 degrees. Brrrrrrrrrrr.. Drove to race 45 minutes. Road were dry.
Race about 1/4 or so to see if calf was going to hold out. Didn't seems to bad. OK registrar. Look for Mike. Ran a little more. Hit the head and stretched. Finally met Mike at the start. Mike and I usually meet up right away, funny. Little discussion on the 305 pacer guy. I didn't figure on doing much. Wanted to keep the calf from increasing in pain.
