Pre-race routine:

Got up an hour before race, ate a cliff bar and another ras bar while en route. Gel at 15 before.

Hard, but went really well. No bathroom breaks this time as I held back the water (it was not hot out).

What would you do differently?:

Push at bit harder at the half-way point to have less left at the end.

We'll see if I try a full - I can't imagine getting to the end of this race and then turning around and doing it all over again. :)

Next day: Cripes my legs hurt like hell! Must have been from the sprinting at the end since I've not been this sore after any of the 17+ long runs.

161 Avg, 180 max (sprint at end) - right on the line between zone 3 and 4.
Course: Dry except 2 parts which were sheer ice and required walking or running in the chunkier ice along the edges. Crowding was bad. Probably about 100m total. Temps were really low (just above freezing) but forcast said it would be up to 14 in the afternoon. So I ran in shorts, a long sleeve tech and then the looser race shirt/tech long sleeve overtop. Worked out perfect, the poor people in tights and jackets were dying in the 2nd half.
