Comments:

Run wasn't too bad, should have gone out a little harder. My run just isn't where it should be.
Transition 1
  • 00m 33s
Comments:

I really need to work on getting into the shoes on the bike. I still had to change shoes at T1 and running with bike shoes on isn't easy. I still had the fastest T1 time in my AG.
What would you do differently?:

shoes on the bike.

Comments:

I went out with a goal to just be comfy on the bike. My only problem was I think i was too comfy. I was passing people but wanted to keep a little in the tank for the last run. I think i kept too much, my last run was faster than my 1st, so next time, harder on the bike.
Transition 2
  • 00m 30s
Comments:

I just need to be a little more smooth with this. All in all it went really good. Again fastest in AG.

Post race
Warm down:

Went back out on the course to find my dad....cheered him on...went back out to cheer runnergirl in as well..ate some food, i really dont like pizza. Got my award.

On that note, checking the results, apparently the results have been changed. There was another girl that wound up in first place, beat me by 3 min or so. Not quite sure what happened and where she came from, but someone goofed, oh well....regardless I had a good race, had fun, so techinically I got second, but since they gave me the first place trophy, I'm still reporting it as first place ;)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Need to focus on the run......

Event comments:

I liked the bike course better this year as we didn't have to go thru oakwood, which in the past has been bumpy and windy, oh and lets not forget the train from last year. But since they are repaving oakwood, next year I am assuming we'll be back to the original course

Course: Run was ok, not the greatest. I had a girl behind me (kellc09) that I was keeping an eye on and kept waiting for her to catch me. That would have made for a fun last couple of miles. I think i should have gone harder on the bike, which would have left a little less in the tank for the last run, but the bike is my stronger event. Theres always next time...
