Run
Comments: Ran at decent pace, felt ok. What would you do differently?: Taken it out a little harder... Transition 1
Comments: Very slow in transition... Did not really try too hard. Just changing out of running shoes and into riding shoes plus helmet. What would you do differently?: Actually move... Probably, leave shoes on pedals. The run to the bike mount/dismount was long and rocky, so ran in bike shoes. Bike
Comments: Forgot my front water bottle so did not drink at all... But it was a decent ride. Passed about 10 people and was not passed. What would you do differently?: Drink. Transition 2
Comments: Again, was not really trying. Slooow What would you do differently?: Move Run
Comments: Felt ok. Trails are killer... What would you do differently?: Drink more. Transition 3
Comments: Again, very slow. Had trouble mounting bike and clipping in. Bike
Comments: Was fatigued from no food and little water. Struggled. Lack of breakfast started to really show here... What would you do differently?: Eat and drink. Transition 4
Comments: Continued with the sloooow transitions... What would you do differently?: Move. Run
Comments: Really struggled. Simply watched people run by me. Actually had troubling breathing at one point - very strange. Really bonked. Managed to hold off the second place female at the end. What would you do differently?: Not bonk! Post race
Warm down: Paul Cupo finished ahead of me and was waiting at the chute so we walked around. Stretched. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nutrition challenges. Not really prepared mentally for the day and it showed. Good training day however. Event comments: Typical Rochester Fleet Feet/Yellowjacket Racing event - goes off on time, Well organized and run, nice course. Last updated: 2008-05-07 12:00 AM

Was scheduled to work at the race... Bad idea. Had to be at race site at 5am and was running late. Had to change out brake pads to run the HED3Cs and had no breakfast. Forgot race belt and water bottles.
Rode for maybe 1/2 mile to finally test the new tires/race wheels and make sure shifting was ok.
