Comments:

Biked with no socks in the shoes which was a huge time saver. I also swam with my tri top on which means I didn't have to fool around with trying to put it on in T1. Overall my T1 time improved a lot since Suncoast last year.
What would you do differently?:

Don't mess with trying to get some Gatorade into me. Get on the bike and then get some fluids.

Some of the turns were rather sharp on the course and I need to get more comfortable making these turns at higher speeds.

Got my riding shoes and helmet off quickly and put the running shoes on again with no socks. Saved a ton of time.

Great that I was able to do this pace after coming off a hard (for me) bike ride. This was a huge improvement for me.

Need to pick up the pace and keep my focus.

The heat got to be a bit much as the morning went on.

The shallow water on the swim course was problem for everyone.

Course: 2 x 6 mile laps from Honeymoon Island out across the Dunedin Causeway and back. Head winds on the leg heading east out over the causeway but a great tailwind on the return.

Course: Out from transition heading west through the parking lot and then along the upper edge of the beach. Curved north into some shaded woods but the trail was at times lots of soft sand which made it difficult to keep solid footing and pace.
