Pre-race routine:

Joe and I woke up around 4:30. We rushed around preparing the bikes and grabbing some oatmeal. We got the kids up around 5, and hit the road just before 5:30. We arrived at the race site around 6 and set up transition. We saw BigJim, Luke, Jkron, Nilda and her boys.
Event warmup:

We swam maybe 100 yards before the race.

Post race
Warm down:

stayed at the finish line to cheer Joe, and Jim on. had some vitamin water, gatorade and two strawberry newtons. We stayed throughout the awards and both Joe and I won something. Joe won two Astros tickets, and I won a hammer flask and some electrolyte tabs.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I could always train more....

Event comments:

Lots of good people at this race. It's very well organized and just a great course. I do wish the distances were longer, though.

Zack and Catherine were very sweet throughout the day. They took pictures and cheered us on the whole time! They never once complained about how long we stayed out there, or about helping to tear down transition before we left. They were a big help today!
