Swim
Comments: This was my first open water swim in race conditions. Have never swam that far non stop, that I completed it was very good. Need to work on pace, breathing and sighting. Was so wore out had to walk to T1 up the hill. What would you do differently?: Put wet suit on right!!!!!! Transition 1
Comments: Tired and a little trouble getting out of suit. More glide. Put on socks when I had not planned to, trying to catch breath. What would you do differently?: Leave socks off till run. Bike
Comments: Need to work on water and pedaling at same time. Also changing gears on hills. What would you do differently?: diffrent gears on course Transition 2
Comments: this wasn't to bad. can be faster What would you do differently?: got toggle locks right after Run
Comments: Was pretty wore out by now.First couple of miles needed to get pace and legs back. The last two miles was much better finished stronger than I started. What would you do differently?: More trail running prior Post race
Warm down: got a massage and very little stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: Training to much prior? need to get a plan not just doing what i feel like. Woke up at 4:30 am to a rain storm, dressed in race gear. Had 2 packages oatmeal for breakfast. Car was loaded the night before.Stopped for a coffee, not sure if it is good to drink before the race. Drove an hour to race, arrived when I wanted to.
No real warm up, heart was beating well enough. Did a little swimming since I was in the last group to go out.
