Pre-race routine:

drove to the race site, drank some coffee had a donut, yumm
Event warmup:

Swam a little. I almost didn't do this race, and wouldn't have had I not already preregistered. Manned up and raced.
Swim
  • 22m 34s
  • 1207 meters
  • 01m 52s / 100 meters
Comments:

Felt good and stayed straight for the full course.
Transition 1
  • 01m 15s
Comments:

Good transition time considering my gear was far from swim entrance and bike exit.
Bike
  • 1h 12m 44s
  • 11.5 miles
  • 9.49 mile/hr
Comments:

Good ride, can go faster on the course. Got caught up behind some slower riders on the first mile of the course, but that's to be expected being a slow swimmer. Everyone was cool about letting me by, I thanked 'em and wished them well in their race.
What would you do differently?:

go faster.
Transition 2
  • 00m 31s
Comments:

Fast transition, close to bike entrance.
What would you do differently?:

nothing.
Run
  • 30m 23s
  • 4 miles
  • 07m 36s  min/mile
Comments:

Got passed early by a 16yo, wow he was fast. Felt someone behind me the last mile but he never played into my run, kept my pace high and finished strong. Love this trail run.
What would you do differently?:

go faster as always. I felt great on the run, pushed hard enough.
Post race
Warm down:

cold water shower on the legs, packed up then sat around and waited for awards.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Peaked a couple of weeks ago for my A race, I was running on residual fitness. But am very happy with my performanc at the final tri of the season and for taking over 17 minutes off of my time from last year.

Event comments:

The need more bike racks and portajohns as the bathhouse restrooms can't handle the multitude of racers before the start.
