Run
Comments: I did a pretty good run for my first time in Colorado. I was a runnner in AL but not here. Very tiring for a first and cold. I thought I was going to fall and shatter to a million peices I was so cold. BRRRR! What would you do differently?: I would dress warmer and train better. Probably should pace myself a bit more. Started out to fast and ended up walking a couple of times. Had a good time though. Post race
Warm down: Linda, Kate, and I all got out medals and walked around. TONS of free samples. Lets just say there was 2 full cloth bags per each of us. YEA! Then, we stood in line and got some bagels and left for to get to the warmth of the BIG car. :) What limited your ability to perform faster: Probably the fact my feet were tingily due to the cold and the fact that that race was the first race I have done here and the first run I have done in a long time. Event comments: Great race other than the cold. Everyone was friendly and this wasn't a competition. It was a charity race. I hope to this race agiain next year. Sadly, dad was at work and couldn't be there to enjoy the race and suffer through the cold with us. I had a GREAT time!!! :) Last updated: 2008-10-12 12:00 AM

Well, when I got up this morning I had a small bowl of cereal. When we got to the race, we signed in and go out supplies. Sadly, it was FREEZING so we went into the car and stayed in there for 15 minutes or so. After warming up we wandered around until it was time to begin.
I stretched and jumped around a little bit. To cold to do anything else...body was SO numb! :(
