Comments:

It was a great swim, not many girls to draft behind, nor did the buoys reflect what was on the map. No bathroom on swim
Transition 1

Comments:

Good T1, I did not need to go to the bathroom during T1
Wetsuit off, changed into bike clothers, Suncream on, and go
What would you do differently?:

perhaps swim with my HRM on and bike top if a dry day

  • 27.29 km/hr
Comments:

felt great on the bike, I started to experience stomach fullness on the last shorter lap
I drank 7 bottles of infinite and some water
2 loo stops
First 4 bottles of infinit and filled on the fly with water, stopped half way, loo break, mixed final 3 bottles of infinit and away I went
What would you do differently?:

take on board less calories
Transition 2
  • 08m 22s
Comments:

I had a quick change but stopped to try to go to the bathroom, nothing, my stomach had shut down
Run
  • 5h 16m 25s
  • 42.2 kms
  • 07m 30s  min/km
Comments:

I took a bottle of infinit run over the first hour, I had a hard time swalloing food and water. I puked on average every 2 km. I managed to run the first lap, stopping at every bathroom to try to go, then I started puking and alk/run on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th laps. Massive puke at approx. 35k and then I was able to pick up the pace and bring it home. My legs felt tired but no major aches and pains, mentally I stayed strong despite the puking
What would you do differently?:

less calories
Post race
Warm down:

walk around

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my stomach shutting down

Event comments:

I would do this one again
