Swim
Comments: Lined up about 2 rows back. Got in the water and started swimming. Still had slow idiots in front of me. Got around them at about the first buoy and turned right to go about 900m on the straight. The straight was pretty open and grabbed some feet and drafted the best I can. But I would always pass them. Came to the next turn buoy and started hitting people was the 2 waves that started in front of me. Got around them and made my way to the finish. Sighting on the last diagonal was hard as there was nothing to really sight off and I couldn't see my final buoy. Overall I was always pretty close to the buoy's What would you do differently?: Nothing. Maybe start faster. Transition 1
Comments: T1 was kind of big and I was not in an ideal spot. Decided to put the shoes on in T1 and run out. It was congested so wasn't able to run out fast. What would you do differently?: Still need to learn the flying mount. Bike
Comments: As you come out of transition you have about 500yds until you hit the key biscayne bridge. The wind coming the the bridge was really bad. I thought I was going to loss it. Lots of people because of the 2 loops and was in the final wave. Nothing too exciting. 2nd loop there started to be less people out there, but the wind was picking up. What would you do differently?: I wanted to go sub 1:10, but the wind prevented that. Transition 2
Comments: This was a pretty good transition. It was congested again because of the number of people. What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: Goal was to run the 1st 2 miles in 15mins. Hit the 1st mile marker at 7:32, so was in good shape. Then I hit the dirt part of the trial and it was congested again, so I hit the 2 mile marker at about 15:30. I eased my pace down to between 8:30 and 9:00 miles. Was still feeling good and passing people, so I decided that when I hit mile 5 I would pick it up again to the finish. Don't recall the time, but had a good finishing 1.2 miles. PR for the 10K of an Olympic tri. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Walked around. Ate. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing Event comments: After the race I couldn't find water. They give you 1 bottle when you cross the finish line. Then the food tent only had soda. Last updated: 2009-01-07 12:00 AM

Got up at 4:00, laid in bed until 4:30. Got everything packed and ready to leave. Went down to get the car from the valet, took 20mins for him to bring it back
Nothing as I was going to use the swim as my warm-up because I wanted to go really hard on the bike and the first 2 miles of the run.
