Swim
  • 35m 47s
  • 2310 yards
  • 01m 33s / 100 yards
What would you do differently?:

I would've liked to get an OWS in beforehand but I just ran out of days to do it in. Since I had swam in Quassy for Griskus last year, I had a good idea of what to expect, so I wasn't overly concerned.
Transition 1
  • 03m 7s
What would you do differently?:

In retrospect, my transition time seems longer than what it felt like while I was doing everything. I felt I had laid everything out nicely for myself, I'd probably just try to move faster next time around.
Bike
  • 3h 37m 42s
  • 56 miles
  • 15.43 mile/hr
What would you do differently?:

I might eat less next time. I felt a little full when it came to getting off the bike.
Transition 2
  • 04m 23s
What would you do differently?:

Again, just move faster - sure didn't seem like I was there for 4 minutes!!
Run
  • 2h 35m 23s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 11m 52s  min/mile
Comments:

This run was super tough - I wasn't ready for it & my time is an accurate reflection of that. Very scenic & quite lovely as far as routes are concerned. I plan to run this again, as a training run, on fresh legs.
What would you do differently?:

Not skip 2 weeks worth of long runs! GRRR!
Post race
Warm down:

A hot dog & cheeseburger..followed by many diet cokes. Post race massage a few days later.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Being a little underprepared for the hills on the run.

Event comments:

If I can do it financially, I plan to race this next year.

Course: Water was great! Clean, crisp almost refreshing. The wave start made it easy to find my own space and settle into a nice rhythm. Really enjoyed my time in the water; especially scenic when the sun came out halfway through the course.
