  • Overall course based on my ability: Too easy

  • Comments: Beautiful scenery, very flat, fast course, so it is easy to go hard. Did not like the closeness of other bikers and runners, as you actually ended up with bikers (doing out and back on same sections) with runners off to one side. Accident waiting to happen. They had FABULOUS gear at the end for the age group winners and for lottery. Good brick workout to gear up for another race. Most challenging aspect was not hitting other riders.

  • Comments: Today was a great day. I surprised myself BIGTIME. It is really nice to see things starting to come together and see the efforts of the last year starting to really pay off. I was utterly shocked that I came in 3rd in my division and equally shocked to see that my time would have posted 3rd in the 30-34 division...there is hope for me yet! Kristy (my wife) is amazing. She has been my coach/cheering section through this whole body transformation...I could not do this without her. Highlight of the day - I won the wetsuit raffle!!! HOLY SMOKES!
