Comments: I think it was a great course, and the race had a good feeling for a great cause, but there were some logistical problems that mainly seemed to focus on the fact that a large number of the volunteers were junior high-aged kids with little or no supervision. I admire them for volunteering, but they needed a little more direction. Also some volunteers to help with the parking nightmare would have been good. Otherwise - It was a good race!

Comments: There were no water stations on the bike course and only one on the run course. Since the run was a 2 loop circle, I passed the water station twice. I had brought a good sized water bottle with me, which was low by the time I hit the water station the second time so I filled it up. It worked out O.K. After the race they had a lot of raffle prizes. The raffle prizes were awarded based on random race numbers and you had to be there to claim the prize. Unfortunately, they started early so many of the prizes were already given out by the time I got to the finish line so I don't know if I might have won something if I was there earlier. I was disappointed that they started giving prizes before all the competitors had finished racing, but I must say, it was cool that they had prizes to begin with. I really loved this race and the venue and I definitely want to do it again next year.

Comments: Great first race! There were some die-hards there who were intimidating, bit overall an super nice crowd that apolgized when they kicked you on the swim.
