  • Description: The Hunterdon Half takes place in gorgeous Hunterdon County, NJ. The swim is in pristine Round Valley reservoir, the bike ride travels through NJ's "farm country" and along the Delaware River, then most of the run course travels right next to reservoir, so you will be ensured some great views to take your mind off the pain!

    Swim: Featuring a 1.2 mile one loop triangle swim in the main reservoir portion of Round Valley reservoir. Round Valley is undoubtedly one of the nicest bodies of water in New Jersey and will provide optimal swim conditions. The course will be clearly marked and well supported by the Clinton Rescue Squad. The water temperature is expected to be 68-73 degrees and will be wetsuit legal.

    Bike: The bike will be a scenic one loop 56 mile race throughout Hunterdon County, NJ. The bike ride travels in the opposite direction of the JerseyMan Half Iron course, and includes the flat fast section along the Delaware River and the historic covered bridge. There are three challenging climbs that are spread out throughout the course. It is a beautiful course that will keep your interest while challenging you along the way. There will be 2 water stations on the bike with an assortment of recovery drinks, gels and water. They will be located at approx. mile 20 and mile 40.

    Run: The run will be 13.1 miles two loop course. This run course is AWESOME. The course takes place in the park and along the surrounding roads. This run will provide great views throughout that will help take your mind off things! One mile of each loop will be on a packed trail that will have you running within inches of the waters edge. There will be water/aid stations approximately every 1 to 1.5 miles with an assortment of gatorade, water and gels.
