• Description: This event is a 150 yd pool swim, local 9.2 mile road ride that travels through both in-town and rural roads coming close to Lake Norman State Park, followed by a two mile out-and-back trail run on the property of Barium Springs. Both the ride and run will be a mixture of sun and shaded areas with some scenic views. There is a moderate elevation change on the bike ride and an uphill finish on the trail run. This race is intended to be a perfect distance for a wide variety of triathletes from the new participant to the seasoned veteran. Attention has been paid to course layout and location to accommodate a variety of skill levels keeping safety in mind.
