• Description: The swim takes place right inside Valens Conservation Area in Valens Lake and follows a "box-like' pattern. Large, orange Swim buoys will clearly mark your path and turns. Once out of the water it is a short trek into the transition area over sand and grass. The bike is a box pattern as well, with the riders only making right hand turns (so bikes will only be on one side of the road). The course is relatively flat, with a few ups and downs but no substantial climbs to worry about.
