• Description: Part of the USAT Splash & Dash youth aquathlon series, Salamander gives kids new to the multisport world a chance to compete without a bike, with two swim/run distances for 6-10 and 11-15 age competitors. 6-10 year olds will compete at a 100 yard pool swim distance, followed by a .75 flat run on the West Hills greenway. 11-15 year olds will compete at a 200 yard pool swim, followed by a 1.5 mile run (2 laps on the greenway course). Finisher’s medals and USAT Splash & Dash series shirts to all participants. No awards, with final times available online following the race.
