• Description: Start your summer off right with a visit to the middle of the mitten for the inaugural “Middle-O-’Mit” triathlon. Organizers and the communities within Clare County are excited to be hosting this first year event and are pulling out all the stops to make it a memorable one!
  
  Situated on 36 wooded acres, Wilson State Park is located on the north end of Budd Lake in Clare County. A sandy beach on a beautiful inland lake is the setting for a triangular swim where Sprint distance athletes will complete one lap, while Olympic distance athletes will complete two.
  
  The bike event will be on an open road course after heading out of the park. The road is hilly, smooth, and fairly straight. Both the Sprint and Olympic distances are out and back.
  
  The run event is takes athletes the opposite direction when leaving the park. Athletes will run counter-clockwise around Budd Lake. Both the Sprint and Olympic run events are out and backs.
