• Description: The Soldier 5K course will start and finish at the same start and finish line for the marathon and half marathon races on the Avenue of Flags at the National Infantry Museum. The 5k course will run down the Avenue of Flags, then turn left at the beginning of the parking lot of the National Infantry Museum and run to the entrance of the the Museum at S. Lumpkin Road; then turn left on S. Lumpkin Road and run to the entrance of the Riverwalk at Oxbow Meadows, then turn right on the Riverwalk and run on the Riverwalk along Oxbow Meadows and Oxbow Golf Course to the public road leading the Water Works Facility. The 5k course turns left at the public road and runs for a short distance towards the Water Works Facility before reaching a turn around point and running on the Riverwalk back towards S. Lumpkin Road. The 5k course turns right on S. Lumpkin Road and returns to the National Infantry Museum and finishes on the Avenue of Flags.
