"This is a 7.6oz TRAIL SHOE! It's about time someone came out with a minimalist light weight trail shoe that's durable. This shoe has no support. Minimal arch support (which is a good thing) and feels great on the foot. If you're looking for a structured shoe with lots of padding this is NOT the shoe for you. If you want a fast, light weight minimalist durable trail shoe, this is THE shoe. Enough said. :)"tribullbutter

While I haven't been using these shoes long at all, they have taken a bit of a good trail beating. While the shoe is UNBELIEVABLY light, the toe box is made of a "gore tex" type material. Very tough. Great for stumping your toes on stumps/rocks.

The shoe also has a rock plate underneath, so you don't feel the rocks and roots as bad as with regular shoes. This is unbelievable considering how light the shoes are.

***EDIT on 6/30/2011 after using for a year and 550 miles***

So the shoe has held up well. After about 450-500 miles I started getting some odd wear on the upper. All the sudden my pinky toes started poking through the material and I also got an odd hole near my heel. Apparently the material the shoe is made with isn't as durable as I first thought. For that reason I'm bumping the quality down to a 4 outta 5.

Fit is good. I can wear them with or without socks. I have yet to blister without socks. The tongue is almost non existent. Very different, but I like. It's literally a piece of material. No padding what so ever.

Feels really great for a minimalist shoe. It's hard to explain, but it feels like a lot more shoe than it is. It's made from a very thin light material, that feels good on the feet.

See quality of construction. I only have about 40 miles on these shoes, but no problems yet.

**EDIT**

After 550 miles I'm having some odd holes pop up. Durability down to 4 outta 5.

UNBELIEVABLE price! Most shoes are around $100 now. These were only $75.

Like most trail shoes these come in pretty ugly colors. On the other hand there are three options for color, but most of them are always sold out. I ended up with the darker pair with the red NB symbol. There's Grey, Blackish, and Yellow/Black.

Performance? What doesn't scream performance about a pair of 7.5oz trail shoes! These shoes are so nimble and quick you won't be able to run slow even if you try.

SUPER LIGHT!
Thin tongue
Rock plate in the bottom
Cool shoe laces
Great traction
Durable toe box
Can wear sockless
Durable in general
Cheap

Material on the upper starts to wear holes after about 500 miles.

I don't know why but it seems that they're almost always sold out of certain sizes and colors. Hopefully they increase production and these shoes become more readily available.
