"I took the 9.9 out for an 8 mile demo ride. The first 2 mile I was shakey and unsure of the bikes handling. The course had many stop signs and 90 degree turns. My F35 is much better suited to those conditions but two of the three sprints I did last year had no stop signs and a minimum of turns. On the straights this thing was awesome! It is too much bike for me, but the 7.2 is right up my alley."drchris

This was my first time riding a tri specific bike. It was like learning to ride all over again.

Fit

Because this was a demo bike, fitting it to me was very basic. It felt good, but I could tell the seat needed adjusting as did the aero bars.

This bike a has a Fizik(sp)seat. My derrier never felt so good!

Value

There was anothe review that mentioned this bike is no more expensive than others in its class. That seems to be true, but for a beginner who wants to have fun doing tris and not necessarily compete against pros but against his or her equals in the sport this bike may be a bit too pricey. B ut there is always the 7 series!

Performance

I never rode so fast in my life. Except for a couple steep inclines I was keeping up with a friend that I never keep up with.

Strengths

Trek has made this bike to fit a wide variety of people within certain heights per frame size. Wise decision!

Weakness

Heck, I don't know I am jsut beginning this sport.
