Pre-race routine:

Got up at 4:30am got to race at 5:30am stretched and used Kybo until I could finally poop.

Night before had pasta seafood, and asparagus

Comments:

had okay run for amount of training done prior to race and my race weight of 212 (20 lbs more than last year)

Felt good, feet did not hurt like last year. (Last year Race time was 1:51:00)first half was very fast but feet hurt the whole second half of race.

I was hoping to do 1:50 but was realistically knowing i would be close to 2:00
What would you do differently?:

more training and less body weight. Potential feet issue though with more training

Warm down:

walked off and had some food in race recovery area then drove back to Iowa

training and body weight

Good early season race. First part of race (2miles) slight downhill and straight.
