Swim
Comments: I started out way too fast. I let the adrenaline of the start get to me and did my first 100M in about 1:20. I gassed out pretty bad and ended up basically walking to transition and losing a couple minutes. What would you do differently?: Start slower. Stay at my estimated pace. Transition 1
Comments: Was really gassed from the swim. Could have done much better. What would you do differently?: Run. Bike
Comments: I wasn't able to go as hard as I wanted to at the beginning of the bike from being winded from the swim. Really screwed the whole ride up. Finally settled into a nice pace about half-way through. What would you do differently?: Save energy on swim and hammer the bike. Transition 2
Comments: Took a tumble getting off my bike. Nothing serious just didn't get my left shoe unclipped in time. Slowed me down by a few seconds though What would you do differently?: Not fall...haha. Run
Comments: I was a little more tired than I would have liked to been and I really didn't push the run as hard as I could have. Next time I will definatley keep my miles under 8:00 pace. What would you do differently?: Run harder. Post race
Warm down: Hung out and got some water and fruit. What limited your ability to perform faster: Going out too hard on the siwm. Event comments: Very well organized. There were plenty of friendly volunteers along the way to keep you on track. Last updated: 2011-05-31 12:00 AM

Woke up around 5:00 and had my usual bowl of cereal and cup of coffee. I got to the bike racks around 6:45 (opened at 6:30) and got a place on the end of the rack. Got all checked in and then hung out with the wife until the start.
I did normal stretching but I should have jumped in the pool and swam a couple of laps. I will know this the next time around.
