Comments:

Had to wait 2 hours after start to get in the pool. Lost focus and technique that's my fault, I need more practice. I wasn't happy with my performance but it was my first race so I learned a lot.
What would you do differently?:

I need a better trainng plan. Practice staying focused and relaxed.
Transition 1
  • 02m 35s
Comments:

I think I was well prepared. I was satisfied for now with my transitions.
What would you do differently?:

No need for gloves. No need for socks. I'm thinking about learning how to transition with my shoes on the bike.
Bike
  • 48m 15s
  • 12 miles
  • 14.92 mile/hr
Comments:

I'm OK with my bike performance. I just need to keep training and learning. The course was good with some pretty good hills but I had practiced on teh course so I was prepared.
What would you do differently?:

Training harder, stay in the saddle and tucked as much as possible.
Transition 2
  • 02m 8s
Comments:

No problems here, just need to speed up. I was prepared so it went well
What would you do differently?:

Practice "feet out of shoes" before unmount line (no socks will help here). Run faster to rack.
Run
  • 30m 7s
  • 3 miles
  • 10m 02s  min/mile
Comments:

OK with run. A better training plan will help me improve here too.
What would you do differently?:

Train harder!
Post race
Warm down:

Not much here, I stood around and talked to family and friends then went home and had a turkey dinner. I guess I should look into a warm-down routine.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Swim and biking strength / endurance.

Event comments:

My rating would be a 5 except for the swim delay. I don't know how that could be improved upon. The race organizers and volunteers were great. The race seemed to be very organized. I was very impressed. I was very happy I chose this for a first race.
