Comments:

water was cold but I could not tell that much. the wetsuit really helps. first time swimming in my new wetsuit. Big set of 4 waves hit me pretty hard and i almost wanted to quit but i made it through.
What would you do differently?:

learn how to navigate return to beach. Having the waves crashing on my head was not a good feeling. practice open water, ocean swimming at least a couple times before the race again.

since i had hurt by rib 3 weeks earlier i had a hard time pushing myself. it really hurt with the jarring of each step.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

rib injury from 3 week before limited the run. push harder on the bike. and practice open/ocean swim.

Event comments:

Really organized race. Plenty of marines cheering you on. this race was fun because of the organization it supports.
