Pre-race routine:

Got up about 4:30 and ate some peanut butter toast and drank a vitamin water and a bottle of water. Met my firend downstairs and we headed over to our corral.

Comments:

Pretty good for my first long endurance event. To this point, I've only done sprint Tri's and 5K's. 1:45 was my stretch goal, with a sub 2:00 run being my realistic goal. I came in right between them.

Even though I run in Phoenix, this was damn hot.
What would you do differently?:

Not much. I probably need to work on my pace on my longer runs, rather than just doing the distance.

Course: Around the park and then out around Anaheim. Around the Honda Center (formerly the Pond) and then into Angels' Stadium. Pretty cool to run through the field and see yourself on the JumboTron.
