Swim
Comments: Not a bad swim for me. It was, without a doubt, one of the most violent swims I hae every been in. I got kicked and punched so many times. Gave a little too! Got a mouthful of water at one point and had to tread for a few seconds while coughing. Managed to bilateral breathe the entire time. Wore the earplugs and never felt dizzy or nauseaous at all. What would you do differently?: Try to get more OW practice or hope to start a letter writing campaign to get IMAZ changed to a pool swim. Transition 1
Comments: T1 was quite a distance from the swim out but I still had the fastest time in my AG. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I was really happy with my Transition Bike
Comments: My best bike ever! I have never averaged over 18 in a race before. Yeah me! For about the first 11 minutes, my legs felt like crap but then they came around. I passed a lot of people and only got passed by a few. I love the bike! What would you do differently?: Bonnie (Ms Fish) passed me within the first mile. I should have tried to hang with her for a little. Transition 2
Comments: Again, fastest T2 in my AG. I was a little late getting my feet out of my shoes, but managed to get them right before the dismount line. I was racked in the middle of the transition area. I switched to speed laces so I just dropped the helmet, put my shoes on, grabed my hat and ran out. I actually passed several people on the run out of transition. What would you do differently?: Get my feet out sooner and learn how to get off the bike without coming to a complete stop. Run
Comments: Oy...not much to say about the suckiness of my running What would you do differently?: Get faster Post race
Warm down: 2 bottles of water and watched others finish. Mrs Fish had an awesome race and was already fresh as a daisy when I finished. We walked over to the scoring truck and found out rhat she got some hardware. Yeah Bonnie!! Hung around to see her get her award and Steve had to get his picture with Desiree! What limited your ability to perform faster: Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster...Must Run Faster... Event comments: This was a well organized race. Lots of volunteers. Great course. I would have liked for there to be another water stop on the run. The first was not until 1.5 miles in. This was the second year I did IronGirl but will definatly do it again next year. Last updated: 2007-05-21 12:00 AM

All of the fishes came to visit Saturday night. It was great to see them. Got my stuff put together Saturday night. Woke up at 5 Sunday. Ate a PB&J on the way to the race. Racked my bike and waited with Bonnie for the swim start.
Nothing. Just waited around. Watched Desiree start in the water!
