  • 2112 yards
  • 02m 18s / 100 yards
Comments:

Very comfortable on swim. No labor or stress. Even pace with good sighting. Out of water precisely as predicted pre race.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Transition 1
  • 02m 53s
Comments:

Completely forgot to reapply sunblock. Very big mistake!
What would you do differently?:

Take a few seconds and put on sunblock completely!
Bike
  • 3h 25m 1s
  • 56 miles
  • 16.39 mile/hr
Comments:

Should have fueld with concentrated source and had two water bottles. First water stop came almost 30 miles into course. Suffered later due to delayed hydration on the bike. Happy with pace under conditions.
What would you do differently?:

Use a concentrated fuel source in a flask and taken two water bottles.
Transition 2
  • 01m 34s
Comments:

Again, should have applied sunblock. Short transition. Remembered everything except sunblock.
What would you do differently?:

Sunblock
Run
  • 2h 52m 49s
  • 13.1 miles
  • 13m 11s  min/mile
Comments:

Could not settle into continuous run without skyrocketing HR. Chose to survive by running/walking just to finish.
What would you do differently?:

Increase training
Post race
Warm down:

Walked in shade

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Heat, wind.

Event comments:

Great race for first time Half IM (like me). Flat and fast.
