  • Comments: Chip malfunctions set them back and didn't get many of the swim/T1 splits. Also, they always seem to run out of refreshments for the olympic athletes. There was no vitamin water by the time I finished. Hats are getting boring. Give visors to the guys, too. I like Tom's humorous approach, but the schwag and post-race food and drink have dwindled from the high of Disco '07 where there was plenty.

  • Comments: This is the first year I've done the DSU races. I really like the venue and the laid back style. There was a C&W band playing. Food was OK - watermellon and pizza. But, they need a new timing company. The start was late because the timing company wasn't ready. Then the oly results took forever to be posted. Many of the split times are missing (I don't have a swim or T1 time).

  • Comments: Good volunteers, well-marked course, and a very relaxed atmosphere (something that I personally appreciate). There were, however, a few hiccups (albeit nothing that hindered my performance or ultimately detracted from my enjoyment of the race) ... ... my chip strap was way too big (or altogether flawed). The velcro only engaged for about 1 inch. I used some of Todd's medical tape to secure the strap around my ankle. ... it seems to me that the swim course could have been shifted right in order to avoid the "reedy" area of the "out" section. I don't recall this being a problem @ Disco. ... my swim and T1 times are missing. In looking at the results, it seems that this happened for quite a few folks. Faulty equipment/process?

  • Comments: Great race event. The packets were horrible. NO water bottle and a very cheap thin shirt.
