  • Comments: This was a great race for my first race. I will be doing other triathlons. Actually for this one, Heidi and I are going to do it as a team. I will do the swim and run, she will do the bike.

  • Comments: Awards ceremony took too long to get started. I left before it got started. Finish line should be more clearly marked for spectators. Almost hit a kid who ran out heading into T2, and volunteers were very apologetic. Nice folks who helped out alot. I felt very comfortable being my first triathlon.

  • Comments: Overall good, run race. Can't wait to go again next year! Volunteers were helpful and the course was well marked and organized. Not sure why we can't get in a full 5k but that's a minor complaint. Best race t-shirt ever...a technical T, not some lame cotton tee...NICE TOUCH! Love it.

  • Comments: This was my first triathlon. In fact I just bought a bike the day before. I hadn't ridden a bike in 6 years or a road bike -- EVER, until the day before where I took it out for a 1 mile test run and a 6 mile light ride. I haven't run or swam since February either. It was a last minute thing registering the afternoon of the day before. All I can say is I'm hooked and can only imagine what I will be able to do with a bit of training. I was hoping to hit a 1:30 and came in well under my goal by over 11 minutes! I think with some training I have the ability to drop my time down the 1:12 range or faster. This gives me a starting point and with no training whatsoever, saying I was pleased with the results...would be an understatement.
