  • Comments: So I pushed this harder than I probably should. But I feel ok. No worse than before I started. Good to have done this to help work through glitches. Funny that the top 3 F 40-44 were the same as the Wurst Tri Ever in the fall. Christen BOONE and Mary Kay COOPER.

  • Comments: I really love this race! The bike course is just gorgeous and I love that they feed the athletes AND the spectators.... polish kielbassa wraps, mmm! I wish there had been some other ladies in my AG, hard to swallow getting first place when you are the only one. They did not post any results at the race site, and they didn't announce my time, so I had no idea how I had done until official results were posted online... I felt much better when I discovered that not only did I win MY AG, I also could have won the 50-54, 45-49, 40-44, and the 20-24 age groups!! I took about 3.5 minutes off my time from last year too! The medal is awesome see pics below! Always fun to have some friendly competition... so proud of my friend Tammy Tucker for attacking her swim demons!! Baby steps, but there is improvement... if she ever masters that, she will beat me! And how fun to see Connie experience her first one, so proud to have been a part of her journey. And as always, so happy to have some Mommy/Daughter

  • Comments: I really enjoyed this race and would definitely recommend it... I hope to do it again next year with hopefully better weather! And run faster... I lost 1st place due to the run, I was 1st AG in everything EXCEPT the run, argh! I missed 1st by 01:17!

  • Comments: This is my favorite small race. Can't beat the atmosphere, and the event is well managed.

  • Comments: Pretty well organized race considering this is only their second year. Definitely the hardest sprint course I have ever done!

  • Comments: This was by far the hardest sprint course I've done and as luck would have it the most out of shape I've been for a race. I was a measly 10 seconds off 1st OA which I wasn't happy about but that's the nature of TT starts, need to race as though someone is on your heals the entire time. Overall, I'm happy with the results and have reconfirmed what I need to work on this season to prepare for November.

  • Comments: This was the first of what the organizer hopes to turn into an annual event. The river swim is probably too long, given unpredictability of water levels (perhaps a 300m swim may have worked out better, given shallow water down course). The bike leg was tough but challenging. The run leg--if you got through the first half mile hill, was flat and fast. Post-race food was good, all in all a well-organized race.

  • Comments: Despite the crazy river swim (which would be much better on a non-drought year), this was a great venue for the race. The course was the most scenic I've done in Texas, and the management company did an outstanding job of making sure that everyone had a safe, fun event. I also really enjoyed tubing on the river after the race - very relaxing!
